It’s show time for Greece versus Germany (and the rest of Europe who donated their money), as the Greek government is set to ask lenders, for an additional 2 years, to meet the fiscal targets. Germany so far had agreed to some minor adjustments to the conditions of the 130 billion euro bailout, but a radical rewrite so far, is not in the stars. It is now public knowledge however, who the lucky man will be, to take the position as Greek Finance Minister, it is National Bank Chairman Vassilis Rapanos. May force be with you!
A Dutch court has ordered Apple to pay damages to its rival Samsung, after it was decided, that Apple has infringed on Samsung’s patent, related to how phones and tablet computers connect to the internet. It is yet unclear how much Apple will have to pay up, but Samsung must surely be happy. However, the two giants have been fighting for their respective market share for a long time and it doesn’t look like it is going to stop any time soon.
More exciting news from the technology world, apart from announcing its very own Windows 8 operating tablets, Microsoft is now bedazzling us with its very own smartphone operating system, they recently unveiled. Apparently Nokia, Samsung, HTC and Huawei are already in line to start incorporating, the system upgrade in their devices. Apart from other cool features, the most important one, is that the new operating system will be able to carry a much wider range of games and apps!
